Are you stunned by the amount of Easter loot for sale at Wal*Mart?
Have you seen the ocean liner worth of Easter baskets, toys, eggs, and other creative throw-away stuff they are carrying.
Holy Commercialism!
I lean towards unbridled capitalism and free trade. In some respects, I’m impressed at the ingenuity and scope of products. However, their Easter arsenal is totally wasteful. I would rather people buy more durable goods like bikes and basketball hoops. Things that have value for a while.
I’m not saying “there needs to be a law”. I’m just saying it seems a little sad to see all the waste in the name of a religious holiday.
