sprained ankle exercises?

about 4 months ago i sprained my ankle and couldnt run for about a 5 weeks. I underwent physical therapy and it did help. However, it has been 3 moths since therapy and I would like to know some basic treatments/exercises to loosen it up as I play basketball regularly. Also, will the swelling EVER go down?

You need to go back to your physiotherapist, and they will be able to give you stretches, and use the machines on you, which will help you bring down the swelling that you still have.
